The Replace Template is used to analyze the replace option in “Keep or Replace” decisions and is used in conjunction with the Keep Template. The template can be customized to any industry or organization including Government, Cities, Hospitals, and Universities.

The following illustrates the screen and entries for the analysis of an “Outsource or Buy” decision by a manufacturing company. The manufacturer is introducing a new line of “Excel” pumps has to decide whether to;

1. Purchase and install the equipment for $10,000,000 and manufacture the pump casing or;

2. Outsource the manufacturing of the pump casing which will require an investment of $350,000 for material handlings equipment
